A cultural venue dedicated to the arts and crafts and design
Supported by the Hauts-de-Seine Department, the JAD – Jardin des métiers d’Art et du Design de Sèvres is a unique space dedicated to creation, knowledge transfer, and dialogue between the arts and crafts and design. Located on the edge of the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud and the Manufacture de Sèvres, it houses some twenty workshops, an exhibition gallery, a MakerLab—a learning and experimentation lab—as well as spaces for socializing, research, and work. Open to all, it brings together designers, artists, and artisans in a unique complex designated a Historic Monument and organizes workshops, exhibitions, tours, and events throughout the year for the general public. In a constant dialogue between craftsmanship, innovation, and the local region, ideas take shape here every day, closely tied to the creative gestures and processes.

Promote collaboration among professionals
Set within an inspiring local context and featuring spacious shared facilities, the JAD aims to foster collaboration between the two disciplines and encourage knowledge-sharing among professionals. To this end, the JAD invites creators to join a Collaborative Research and Innovation Program (PRIC) and supports and coordinates a wide range of joint projects among the professionals working at the venue.
Ensure the continuity, transfer, and promotion of expertise characterized by high standards and passion
Serving as both a laboratory for experimentation and a unifying hub, the JAD addresses the challenges posed by the ecological and digital transitions, as well as the need to adapt trades that have become rare. It aims to help preserve and pass on the skills that constitute a vital part—both tangible and intangible—of our cultural heritage.
To provide a space for exploring collaborations between the fields of design and craftsmanship, as well as the creations that result from them
The JAD exemplifies the fruitful collaboration between various professions, audiences, and local arts and cultural institutions. It contributes to a policy of making culture accessible to all by providing a space for discovery, inspiration, and sharing for the general public, right in the heart of the Vallée de la Culture.
The JAD is a space for learning, discovery, inspiration, and sharing. It offers annual themed exhibitions, monthly meetings with artists, guided tours, introductory activities, hands-on workshops, courses, and training programs.
